Story
We are eternal and live on after this life. There is one outcome when we leave this life, and that is love. Whether we believe it or not is completely irrelevant. All the science about death proves this. We are all taught that if we just win all the battles, win the arguments and conflicts, we will find happiness. What we have to find out for ourselves is that the only way to find happiness is to stop fighting all the battles. This is the only solution that is complete and final.

It was 1970 in a defeated Rhode Island fishing town. Vietnam and Nixon dominated the national news. Both the near and distant future looked bleak. But they were five inseparable high school friends with something incredible in common: an unwavering resolve to look after each other no matter what hell life threw at them. And they were on a mission. The plan was simple: Go off the grid before they turned 18 to avoid the draft. They’d sell some grass, stack some cash, then head west and start a commune. What could possibly go wrong?

Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

A Gripping Journey into Darkness and Deception
Jack Layton's journey from isolation and grief to a desperate quest for the truth is compelling. The emotional weight of his guilt over his wife’s death is palpable, and the discovery of her letter propels the narrative into a heart-pounding mystery. The creeping sense of dread that something sinister is lurking in the darkness adds a layer of suspense that kept me on the edge of my seat. The pacing is perfect, balancing moments of quiet tension with bursts of chilling action.
The narration is superb, capturing the essence of Jack’s torment and the eerie atmosphere of the story. The narrator’s voice enhances the immersive experience, making every twist and turn more impactful. The sound design further elevates the listening experience, with subtle audio effects that draw you deeper into Jack’s world.

thrilling story
I've always enjoyed supernatural stories, from novels to shows and movies etc. This book is quite a good one. The story flows very captivatedly, and the character development is also intriguing. The narration itself is quite good as well, I gotta give big credits to it, it helps elevate the story quite a bit, giving me a more immersive feeling, it's like someone is talking these real life stories to me face to face. so overall i give it a 5 star.
