Insightful, mindful and heartwarming.

There were so many insightful, mindful and heartwarming areas throughout this book it's hard to pick my favorite. However, I have many memories from childhood as I'm sure most of us do but I don't often pause and think through them when I have one come to mind. Chapter 4 for me was really powerful in the fact that it helped me understand the connections within certain memories and how they might impact my tendencies or what I would call my bias today. The stories that were told were relatable and very intentional. One the aspects that really helped me reflect on the book was the summary of main points for each chapter. It's clear the author worked very hard to give the audience a great experience. I know I had one.

A Deep Dive into Healing and Self-Discovery

This is the book I wish I’d had 20 years ago, with the way I’d grown up nervous and in constant chaos. The way it’s structured allows you to see the links between childhood experiences and adult relationships – and provides steps to heal them. The exercises are well-designed, easy to access, and profound – to connect with that inner child, calm and heal her. I’ve noticed a shift in my emotional intelligence, emotionally connecting with others, navigating tricky relationships and managing through the ups and downs with greater trust and ease. Cantell is very compassionate and supportive in her approach and instructions. Hats off to her for creating intuitive groups of exercises tailored to anxious-insecure attachment and avoidant attachment for a better understanding and a route to healthier, happier relationships.

Wow. A Must Listen!!

This book exceeded my expectations and is a must listen for anyone! We are simply not taught about the effects that our inner child wounds have later on in life, and how they impact our attachment styles and relationships. You absolutely owe it yourself, your partner, and your loved ones to listen to this book. It's really spot on with lots of great insight and tools to begin healing.
