The Institute members who stay to research the medallion need the help of a specialist and find themselves contending with a persnickety metallurgist. To get to the answer about the medallion, they break the rules, and what they discover is amazing, yet so scientically simple. Linda and Virgil have family issues.
Those diving the Atlantic face rough conditions at every turn even before reaching their destination; Cynthia almost loses her life. But they do ultimately end the "horror" they were told to expect. Relationships are explored, paving the way for a more comfortable one between the Colonel and Irina.

Arthur C Clarks 2010, the use of actual science leading me to believe that this is all possible.Have you listened to any of Barbara Goldstein’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Yes I have, and this one held my attention until I just could not wait till the end. The others each built up to this one, yet I was riveted by the pure and actual science used in each story.Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
