But Nathan's world is built on lies and regret.

Consumed by guilt, Nathan seeks solace in a devilish guardian angel, only to spiral down a rabbit hole of addiction. At rock bottom, he's faced with a choice and a job offer from the Man in Black.

Great imagination from the author!!!

I've read or listened to close to a thousand books in my life mostly fantasy or mind-tripping types. this book has the most creative and want to be believable afterlife. I really love the way the author goes into such detail about how things work in this world. the book makes you feel like it's just a normal modern world then flips you on your head when Mort Death and deathblow get involved!! I can't recommend this book enough, and can't wait for the next chapter to this wonderful story!! if I had to question anything about this story it's, there's no way Death would hate the Dallas Cowboys. lol

well written, well read

like most great story's, the writer did a good job getting you invested in the character. then the reader sold it. he mentions future volumes so I'm definitely intrigued and they will be on my watch list. I like the idea of foreshadowing future stories because there is nothing worse then falling in love with a character, then when the books over that's it. I enjoy stories of alternate realities and the writer did not let me down. i really liked how hes setting his world up for unlimited storie lines. now for the hard part. waiting for the next books.

I really enjoyed listening to the reader, enjoyed all the details and characters really pulled me in and wanting more! At times I loved the main character Nathan but also hate him, made me shed some tears but also smile. 100% recommended

well written

I like the reader and have listened to other books he's performed. The author writes well. This is ju st not my cup of tea. Not what I thought it was going to be. Found much of it offensive, even though it was contextual. Was more like graphic Tom Clancy then Gaimin.
