たこ焼きは、お好み焼きと並ぶ大阪名物。縁日の定番メニューとしても人気です。
小麦粉を水で溶いた生地に、ぶつ切りにしたタコを入れ、半球形のくぼみがついた鉄板で焼き上げて作ります。
大阪の隣の兵庫県には、明石焼きと呼ばれる郷土料理があり、この明石焼きが、たこ焼きのルーツのようです。
ソースをたっぷりかけてから、マヨネーズ、かつおぶし、青のりをふんだんにかけるのが、たこ焼きの定番の食べ方。
最近は、明太子ソースをかけたり、チーズをのせたり、ポン酢などにつける食べ方も流行っています。
