About this listen
A galaxy-conquering alien fleet is on Earth’s doorstep!
In the shadow of the cosmos, an unstoppable alien fleet advances, leaving a trail of conquered worlds in its wake. The Xortaag armada, an epitome of galactic might, now sets its sights on Earth. Yet hope flickers in the most unlikely of heroes: a maverick starfighter pilot with a penchant for movie quotes, a daredevil stuntwoman, a lethal super-assassin, and a cosmic spymaster. Their mission: to shield not just humanity, but billions of other intelligent lifeforms spanning the multiverse.
As the enemy's seemingly invincible armada looms closer, our eclectic group of defenders must overcome their personal struggles and unite under the banner of humanity. But can this rag-tag team, armed with alien technology and unbreakable spirit, stand against the unstoppable tide of the Xortaag onslaught?
Invincible is a gripping tale of courage, wit, and the unyielding will to survive. Fans of epic space operas like Star Wars and Battlestar Galactica will find themselves on the edge of their seats, rooting for this band of misfits facing impossible odds. With a blend of thrilling action, unforgettable characters, and heart-pounding suspense, Invincible is not just a battle for survival—it's a journey into the heart of what it means to be truly invincible. Embark on an adventure of galactic proportions!
Note from the author: This is a dark and gritty reboot of the humorous Crimson Deathbringer series. Please see “From the Author” for more information. If you enjoyed the original series, I don’t think you should listen to this; you’ll probably hate it. On the other hand, if you read The Crimson Deathbringer and liked the story but not the comedy, maybe give this version a chance.

Jack Bennet returns from the war to find the life he left behind has moved on without him. The only option he has to make ends meet lies in a military surplus junkyard starship. What’s a former Combat Search and Rescue soldier to do? Fix up the ship, hire the cheapest pilot—a notorious drunk—and take the first contract that comes up: collect a bounty on one of the most ruthless killers in the Pirate Worlds, a place crawling with thieves, cutthroats and con artists whose primary language is violence. Story
Jeremy always said Space Academy was Earth's last hope. People only dream of leaving a dying planet in search of better lives. Avery never expected he would be forced to do just that. On the heels of his brother's murder, his father's disappearance, and with Earth's dwindling water supply now contaminated with a deadly virus, Avery and his younger brother have no choice but to leave Earth behind and join the survivors migrating the nearest habitable planet. What they don't know is that the rarity of water extends far beyond Earth, and they aren't the only ones fighting for survival.

Don't anger the woman
I have not laughed so much in a book that was not designed as a comedy. I loved the Star Trek references, I heard a couple Star Wars, and other Sci-fi shows. The idea of an alien race coming to Earth and not helping the main military, but the résistance is an idea I have not read before, it is kind of like a retelling of Star Wars without the Force. I am so ready to listen to book 2.

Great storyline.
It was a good book that gets into the urge of many to protect friends, family, and species. a few hiccups with the editing of the audio with it repeating at some points.

Entertaining Story
I really enjoyed the storyline, it was a unique take on an invasion of Earth. With humorous heroes, good descriptions, and well written dialogue, this tale is narrated well also. The narrator is well paced with the action and gives good character to the voices and does not detract from the writing. I recommend picking up this book and expecting to be looking forward to the next part.

Great!
Loved this Sci-fi opera. It's got plenty of action with humans and aliens. Definitely worth the listen.

I enjoyed listening to this story again... as I had forgotten most of it.
I went into this audiobook without any quams as had already enjoyed having listened to the Crimson Death, but I figured that it was high time I dove back into Invinciblible the gritty space adventure. I believe the author played a little dirty pool by renaming the book, but it is what it is. I knew the book broke away the mold offering a new voice in the genre... and yes I absolutely loved it again! It’s a near-future dystopian novel, and yes it's a first-contact situation with Spaceships, but that's where the similarities end, with nothing else familiar, or even expected!
I seriously loved how Sean Robins wove his dystopian world (and the band of freedom fighters) into a Scifi political-drama... and this is how our freedom fighters found themselves, inducted into not only saving the world and human race from themselves, but from alien conquerors too!
The plot is so well written, so tightly woven, and so beautifully narrated, you'll find yourself glued into your headset! The story has great characters, plenty of pop-cultural references, wit, and even though it's gritty it still has lots of real laugh-out-loud moments! Plus, I found all the action that I could've ever wanted. Invincible/Crimson Death will make you forget about getting a goodnight's sleep! It's Perfect!
So do yourself a favor and grab the audiobook... and let Jade Ferifyre transport you into Sean Robins dark gritty future!
