About this listen

How do we navigate through the many diverse viewpoints of Bible prophecy? Is it possible that the book of Proverbs can help us clear away the fog?

In Invitation to a Lavish Feast, Jonathan Brentner takes us on a journey through Scripture showing how Wisdom, personified in Jesus, puts us on a path that leads to the pre-Tribulation Rapture.

Wisdom does so by:

  • 1. Basing our hope exclusively on the words of Scripture, interpreted according to the original
    intent of the authors.
  • 2. Exalting Jesus’ preeminence in Bible prophecy, as seen throughout the book of Revelation.
  • 3. Aligning our future aspirations for both Israel and us with God’s character as revealed in His Word.

What’s the “lavish feast,” and how does it help us cope with our struggles and the perils of our day?

It includes all the rich spiritual blessings we now possess, culminating in the extravagant banquet Scripture refers to as the “marriage supper of the Lamb.” We will celebrate with immortal bodies that
will resemble our Savior (Philippians 3:20–21).

Amid the suffering and turmoil of our current lives, Jesus’ promise of a better day fills our hearts with hope and focuses our attention on His imminent appearance and our reign with Him in His kingdom.

Jonathan C. Brentner (MDiv, Talbot Theological Seminary, 1978) is a writer, blogger, and retired financial analyst. He reaches tens of thousands each month with his perspectives on biblical prophecy. He’s also the author of The Triumph of the Redeemed, Cancel This!, and Hereafter, which he coauthored with Terry James.
