This is my first psychological thriller, and wow. This book kept me on my toes and wanting to know what was real, and what was in his head. The author kept me guessing the entire time until the very end when I realized what really happened. If you love psychological thrillers, you’ll definitely like this book. I highly recommend.

This audiobook had me on the edge of my seat the whole time! I kept wanting to know what happened and why it was happening! I kept thinking this poor guy! He worked so hard on something only to be let down by a hero but then when all of his characters kept talking to him? And in the audiobook they all had their own voice? Very well done and it was brought to life for me! Thank you to the author who let me listen to this!! It won’t be my last audiobook I listen to by this author!

Whoa! I needed some time after finishing this book to decompress. Unwittingly becoming a passenger in Jake's mind was a roller coaster ride - never sure what was real or what was just "fiction." The characters were quite a diverse cast and Sawyer Varvel did an excellent job in distinguishing each one in his narration. I have to say that Mr. Snuggles was my favorite, "Good luck with that."

I loved the characters . they were so perfect for this storyline. I could have kept reading more but the story ended (great ending too!), a definite page turner. Creepy but not gory . I greatly enjoyed this Novel . Hunter is next up .

JAKE by Victor Peter is a mind-bending psychological thriller, packed with tension, betrayal, and a creeping sense of dread that never lets up. If you love thrillers with a dark, surreal edge and a protagonist you can’t help but root for—even as he loses his grip on reality—this book is a must-read. Brilliantly written and chilling in all the right ways!

The narration by Sawyer Varvel is phenomenal!
