An interesting exploration of John Dee's study of the occult.

it is an interesting listen but it delves a bit deeply into the magical theory and it could be a bit hard to follow at times. All the theory is a preface to Dee's pursuit and is only viewed in a very generalized way; which is fair because Dee's pursuit of it is the focus but it would of really colored his fascination with a more specific example.

A little more could have been said about his suspect partnership with Edward Kelly.

Overall though this is a fine listen for those interested in this large part of Dee's life.

Interesting advisor to Elizabeth I

I had never heard of John Dee before this book. What an interesting subject! John Dee was an advisor to Queen Elizabeth I and came up with this amazingly complex sort of occult/magic. Very interesting even from just a historical perspective.
