Publisher's summary

The politically incorrect ministry of John the Baptist was the prelude to the person and work of Jesus Christ. John was the opening act. If we want “Jesus” in our life, home, church, and culture, then we must embrace ourselves for “John’s” abrasive message of repentance. The message that will eternally change you will first immediately confront you and offend you. The messenger, like John the Baptist, will offend you as well. Those who hunger and thirst after righteousness are cool with both. They don’t care if their flesh gets pinched and the message gets pitched by a wild prophet. All they want is God’s will to be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

This new book from best-selling author Doug Giles is a must-hear for any Christian serious about spurning today's worldly culture and getting closer to God.

Honest to the point Truth!

A fresh awakening that we are all parched for! We will not take offense to what the Lord needs to do in each of us… Humility and confession now! What do we have to lose? Eternity and living life to the full for Him; not us. Thank you Pastor Giles! Keep your fire raging! No wonder you like John the Baptist so much (you’re his twin 🦁)

Interesting perspective

Interesting
Interesting perspective on John perhaps a little crude but open and honest. Perhaps a little condescending in some areas, but overall it gives you a lot to think about.

Fantastic!!!

Loved listening to Doug and his unabashed teaching of John the Baptist! This what it feels like to be on fire for the Word and finding true messengers of God.

Done with milk toast Christianity

If you're tired of powerless milk toast Christianity, this is a must read. Doug Giles is hart-hitting and on track.

YAY!! LOVED IT!!

Doug is always so entertaining! I loved this audiobook almost as much as his other audiobook, Pussification. That one has me rolling on the ground laughing. My husband and I have listened to it 3x so far and still laughing. Not to mention we always hear new tidbits we missed the times before. Thanks Doug for the amazing narration. You are inspiring. Please create more audiobooks. Thanks. Have a blessed day. Yay!!

Awesome!

Doug always has an interesting way of relating the gospel in a very alpha male manner… And I love it! I highly recommend this book as well as any other book that he’s written 💯

Too much cussing.

We all cuss, atleast most of us. Most of us try not to and do our best next time. This guy wrote it in the script, read it, then left it in edit. You always want to leave others better than you found them. This left me disappointed. You always come as you are when you go to church or do Bible study. but you're supposed to leave healed and changed no matter where you are on your journey. You need to do better.
