Disappointing ending

AI voice is too robotic. Story just left too much unfinished. For a time travel novel, it ended very disappointing. Too many questions unanswered. It was not resolved of who is threatening Jewel other than jealous women & pirates kidnapping a sister in law. Found it just weird. I will not waste anymore time reading any more novels.

It Ended Like a Part 1

I like Paulette D Marshall. I like that she brings God into her stories. But this story/book had many jumps in the storyline wherein we got from point A to point C without even looking at point B as we passed it. There was a lack of character building and love story building. It ended with many questions asked but not answered, like it should have been longer or it was just a bridge to another story. It ended like a part 1. Where is the rest of it?
