Remmy is a retired NYC detective with a bit of a savior complex. His instinct to protect kicks into high gear when his close friend Raven finds herself in danger. Both characters come from wealth and privilege, giving them all the resources they could need, but even money can't shield Raven from the dangerous shadows of her past. There is an element of suspense with steamy moments, making it a quick and engaging read. The pining between Remmy and Raven is palpable, adding depth to their relationship and the story.

Overall, this book was an enjoyable read blending suspense and romance. The connection between Remmy and Raven was heartfelt. If you're looking for a short, steamy read with an edge of suspense, this is one to consider.

Samantha Cook was a fantastic Raven. Her pacing and the cadence of her voice perfectly matched the character's essence. I enjoyed the inflection and subtlety in her narration. Connor Crais, as always, delivered an exceptional performance. His rich and smooth tone is a delight in any narration, and this story was no exception.
Together, Samantha Cook and Connor Crais elevated the story and made for an enjoyable listening experience.

I have been a fan of the series having read all the books. This title has brought me back from the first few books of that excitement and giddy that I had one first finding the series with an exciting side story and compelling leads. This title has made me excited to follow the new Sterling family. can’t wait for the next one.

You just knew from past books in this series that Remi and Raven would end up together. But I didn’t think it would take a jealous psychopath to get them there. Great characters and an exciting storyline.
Connor Crais was fantastic and Samantha Cook was really good too.

I've listened to many of the books in this series & though this isn't my favorite, its still good. (I think the earlier books were the best for story & narration--the ones about the Kingston siblings--Linc, Xander, Dash, etc.) The storyline re: trying to catch the stalker seemed a little rushed at the end, but both characters got closure on things which I liked. Narrators were Connor Crais (back again-yay! He & MacKenzie Cartwright narrated the early books which are my favorites!) & Samantha Cook. Sometimes Samantha''s voice bothered me (sometimes hard to distinguish m/f & sometimes flat/no emotion), but overall I liked her performance. Connor was great as always. He excels at giving each character a distinguishable voice.

Remy and Raven are a great couple. Raven finally tells Remy her secret and he vows to protect her. I liked how Remy makes sure that Raven feels safe and loved. Connor Crais and Samantha Cook did a wonderful job of narrating.
