About this listen

Kings of the Apocalypse: The King Family Trilogy and Adam II: A Post-Apocalyptic Trilogy are both stand-alone trilogies and can be read independently. However, the storylines are parallel narratives that are closely interconnected and are best understood and appreciated if the Adam II trilogy is read first.

The King siblings are the products of illegal genetic engineering research that was intended to augment their abilities. Their whole world was the lab facility that they inhabited and the personnel who saw to their most basic needs. They were too young to know that they differed from other children. They didn’t realize that their genetic enhancements made them stronger, faster and more intelligent.

Ben and Amy King were a young couple who were unknowing participants in the research. Amy had direct contact with the children and began to view them as her own. Upon learning the horrible truth, Ben and Amy fled the facility but to her lasting regret they could only rescue one of the children. Though it would take several years, that was the beginning of the siblings’ path to freedom.

Aaron, Amy and Ben became a family but their escape from the facility was short-lived and didn’t lead to the freedom they coveted. Amy and Ben were recaptured. Aaron knew that he may never see his parents again but he vowed to annihilate the people who had destroyed his family. His vow set him on a bloody trail of retribution.

Over time the King siblings learned that they were only a small part of a vast and sinister conspiracy that threatened civilization itself. They refused to stand to the side while a nefarious organization wreaked havoc on billions of innocent men, women and children. They had both the access to training and the genetic gifts to fight back. Thus began a decades long struggle against the malevolent institute they knew only as the Cabal.

Kings of the Apocalypse: The King Family Trilogy includes Aaron: Subject Number Seven, Wade: Subject Number Four and The Shadow War: Warriors of the Apocalypse.

How bad the AI reader was.

The story was ok till the end, heading to space a waste. Use a real person to read would greatly improve.
