Seriously steamy, and characters were interesting and fun. The background characters are from other books in the series (which you don't have to read or listen to beforehand, but you should because this world is so interesting!), and those background characters lend so many layers to how the main characters interact and grow together.

Kain Keto is the brother that appealed to me the most. Big guy, life of the party, laid back and looks like nothing ruffles him. Valentina is John Alec's little sister and a warrior through and through. She barely tolerates Kain but he thinks about her...a lot. When Kain saves a wounded Valentina, she sees what life is like in Kain's world. Still she wants to go home. One of my favorite parts is when Valentina spars with them all, and wins! I loved this one.

I love how the family keeps growing.
