This new biography offers a rare and candid glimpse into Karen’s triumphs and struggles, from her meteoric rise with The Carpenters to the quiet battles she faced behind closed doors. With exclusive insights into the creation of her timeless songs and revealing accounts from those closest to her, this audiobook captures the full scope of Karen’s artistry, her inner conflicts, and the lasting impact she left on the world.

"Karen Carpenter’s voice was a balm to the soul—her life, a story both haunting and heartbreakingly real." Rolling Stone

Extremely repetitive. Every chapter seemed like a repeat of the previous one with just a few new things thrown in.
I made it through about 2/3 of the book without learning anything new. There are almost no direct quotes from anyone. Normally if anyone is quoted it would be "A friend said this" or"A friend said that", without naming an actual person or providing any context.
Don't waste your time on this one.

Very superficial review of Karen Carpenter's life

Had to stop. Everything repeated over and over until I wanted to scream!! Couldn’t finish!

Repetition throughout the book.
