Fascinating listen!

As someone with African heritage, this audiobook hit home in ways I didn't expect. It's been an incredible journey rediscovering the spiritual traditions of Kemet, which many consider the cradle of African civilization. The author does a great job of showing how these practices can be relevant today, without losing their authenticity. I've set up a little altar in my apartment, and doing daily offerings has become my favorite part of the day!

This book stands out

I've read quite a few books on Kemetic spirituality over the years, but this one stands out for its depth and breadth. The author has clearly done their research, offering a comprehensive look at ancient Egyptian beliefs and practices that goes beyond the surface-level information found in many other texts.
The chapters on the neteru and their roles were especially enlightening. I've encountered these deities in other readings, but this book offered new perspectives and a more nuanced understanding of their significance.
While the book delves into complex topics like Heka magic and Egyptian concepts of the soul, the author manages to explain these ideas in an accessible way without oversimplifying.
Fair warning: it can be information-heavy at times, but that also makes it a great reference.
