About this listen

This is my kicking the obesity mindset journal. It presents details of how my mindset changed during my weight loss journey. I shared my experiences along my weight loss journey so as to inspire everyone who is also on a weight loss journey to keep going. I also share my challenges just so you know you are not alone and to show you that you can still achieve your goals regardless of the failures and setbacks. This book is not just for persons struggling with obesity but for anyone whose mindset have them loving their body less than they should. There are so many emotional and mental barriers to weight loss. I share some of the information I found during my research surrounding those issues. My aim is to help another person to overcome and to lose weight.

A message from the author ✍️ :

Fall in love with yourself. Drown out the noise. Forget what others think about you. What do you think about yourself? Your opinion of yourself matters! At some point you just have to learn to start showing up for you. Be bold and be unapologetic about being 100% you. If you love your body, then you love your body. Keep loving it regardless of whatever size it’s at. It is your vessel and it has been your most reliable vessel throughout all your life. It took a lifetime of trying to lose weight for me to realize and acknowledge my weight problems started in my head. From as early as my teenage years I kept telling myself I was big and fat even when I wasn’t and any comment I got from anyone which sounded like confirmation of that was confirmation and made this thing that was in my head a fact. To make matters worse as a teenager my thighs were already thick and my ass too, so thickas (“thick” woman) and similar labels has been labels I was being called from I was a teenager, which again being called those labels was something I interpreted as confirmation of this thing I made up in my head. It’s possible to rise above the labels and all the lies that are in your head about your body. I hope you enjoy reading this book. Please leave a review. Thank you.
