About this listen
“I have no desire whatever to reform myself. My only desire is to reform people who try to reform me. And I believe that the only way to reform people is to kill 'em. My motto is, Rob em all, Rape em all and Kill em all.” (Carl Panzram)
In 1902, at the age of 11, Carl Panzram broke into a neighbour’s home and stole some apples, a pie, and a revolver. As a frequent troublemaker, the court decided to make an example of him and placed him into the care of the Minnesota State Reform School. During his two-year detention, Carl was repeatedly beaten, humiliated, and raped by the school staff.
At 15-years old, Carl enlisted in the army by lying about his age but his career was short-lived. He was dishonorably discharged for stealing army supplies and was sent to the military prison, Fort Leavenworth, to serve the maximum sentence for his crimes.
When Carl left Fort Leavenworth in 1910, the experience had sculpted him into the man that he would remain for the rest of his life. His hatred for mankind was firmly ingrained and he set out to do unto others before they could do unto him. His lifelong campaign of terror could finally begin and nothing could stand in his way.
Kill 'Em All is a chilling and gripping account of one of the most brutal and gruesome true crime stories in American history. Ryan Green’s riveting narrative draws the listener into the real-live horror experienced by the victims and has all the elements of a classic thriller.

Story
In July 1965, teenagers Sylvia and Jenny Likens were left in the temporary care of Gertrude Baniszewski, a middle-aged single mother, and her seven children. The Baniszewski household was overrun with children. There were few rules and ample freedom. Sadly, the environment created a dangerous hierarchy of social Darwinism where the strong preyed on the weak. What transpired in the following three months was both riveting and chilling.

Prostitutes and animals could no longer satisfy Peter Kürten’s sexual deviancy. During a burglary of a local tavern, he stumbled upon a nine-year-old girl asleep in her bed. He strangled her, slashed her throat with a pocket knife, and orgasmed upon hearing her blood drip to the floor. His crimes were halted by World War I and an eight-year prison sentence but he unleashed his urges with a spate of brutal murders in 1929 earning him the nickname "The Düsseldorf Monster."

Verteran investigative journalist Stevie Cameron first began following the story of missing women in 1998, when the odd newspaper piece appeared chronicling the disappearances of drug-addicted sex trade workers from Vancouver's notorious Downtown Eastside. It was not until February 2002 that pig farmer Robert William Pickton would be arrested, and 2008 before he was found guilty, on six counts of second-degree murder. These counts were appealed and in 2010, the Supreme Court of Canada rendered its conclusion.

How to create a monster
This book tells the story of Carl Panzram , one of the most vicious murderers in crime history.
Well-written.Well narrated.Excerpts from his personal diary. His encounter with a kind, decent prison guard ,encouraged Panzram to write a diary.
Fascinating story of a terrible human being who had no nurturing whatsoever as a child. Perhaps if he had been even a little bit loved,he might not have become the revengeful ,self-hating monster who stole, raped, and murdered his entire life.

great!
this has been a great story; the writing... the narrator. It's scary to think people like Carl exist in this world. I love true crime stories & often wonder if the people would've been different if they had a better chance at life but I don't think so. Carl had chances to better himself & he chose to live his life the way he did. Ryan Green does a fantastic job telling their stories. I got this audible from a code at my request & I'm writing this on my own accord. I would definitely recommend!

Carl Panzram story masterfully and brilliantly told!
I had read and heard of Carl Panzram through documentaries and books before this gem. I even knew his ‘story’...or so I thought! CP’s childhood almost makes you feel sorry for him, but the author tells it like it is and the unimaginable deprivation of just ONE man is told with frankness and clarity. I don’t know how but this book told his story in a short amount of time without making you feel you’d missed a major upheaval in Carl Panzram’s life! I loved it!!!

Hard to listen to
This book is engaging and well written but good god was this man horrible. Clearly intelligent, Carl Panzram took to the streets and was a complete nightmare. Listening to this is a similar experience to reading American Psycho but this really happened.

A story like I've never heard..
I really like to walk as I listen, get my steps, before I realized it, I'd walked 5 miles! I could not stop, to literally, listen to the story of Carl Panzrams life, the perfect storm of violence and abuse, the creation of an absolute predator of all mankind. I was both saddened and disgusted for him and by him.
The narration was great! He read the story without any cheese, kind of like the voice in my head when I physically have the book in my hand.
I'm almost ashamed to say how much I would recommend this book if you're interested in the life and crimes of serial killers, this is one I'd never heard of before, but , undoubtedly, will never forget.

hard book to listen to but excellently narrated
maybe at times too nonchalantly narrated especially when speaking about rape and murder of children, this book is a difficult book to listen to. the subject matter is a violent man who knows he's a violent man. he made no excuses for himself. he murdered, raped or rather sodomy, Rob, pillage, plunder. his victims are all males, even his murders have a sense of chauvinism in it. he didn't discriminate, he killed old, young, black or white, all he will raped before or during his murders. and yet he had probably 1 relationship where he didn't kill and even wanted to literally sail away with a young lover who had the sense to escape and report him. I didn't find him fascinating but I did feel curious when a serial killer knew he was on and didn't cry about that. it is a short book but some quite gruesome. Well narrated but at times too pleasant in narration.
