About this listen

In the hunt for justice, FBI Agent Fallon Baxter unravels the deadliest mysteries.

Believe. Obey. Survive.

Welcome to Paradise where faith meets fear, and salvation is written in blood.

Clean language and heart-stopping twists that keep you glued to the edge of your seat until the very last page.

When FBI Agent Fallon Baxter returns to her hometown of Pine Ridge Falls to join the local field office, she expects a fresh start and a chance to mend her broken past. Instead, she’s thrust into the heart of darkness when a string of brutal murders shakes the quiet community.

The victims, found brutally murdered and linked only by their ties to the secretive Paradise Cult, draw Fallon into an investigation that spirals into the depths of danger and deceit.

Led by the charismatic and ruthless Supreme Leader, the cult preaches a doctrine of salvation through sacrifice and hiding evil motives beneath a veneer of spiritual enlightenment.

As Fallon digs deeper, she unearths chilling connections between the cult and her own troubled history. With the disappearance of her sister complicating matters, Fallon navigates a complex web of loyalty and betrayal.

As the body count rises, and the cult’s deadly agenda becomes clear, Fallon faces a race against time to unravel the mystery. Every clue drags her closer to a shocking revelation that will challenge everything she knows about evil, heroism, and the thin line in between.

Killer Cult is a gripping thriller that explores the shadows of obsession and the cost of redemption.

Fallon Baxter’s journey is a perilous trek through danger and despair, where only the strongest will survive and the past is never truly buried.

Great story, AI is not a good narrator

The story was great. The narration however, was monotone and many mispronounced words. The AI didn’t change between characters so it made it hard to follow. You couldn’t tell the female from male characters either.

Terrible Computer-Generated Narration

I enjoyed the story but the computer-generated voice was terrible. Multiple mispronounciations of words, no voice changes, no ups or downs in tone found in natural speech.

I would not recommend AI or computer-generated Audible books.

Decent story. I won’t do another virtual voice

The story wasn’t bad though the chapter breaks were abrupt at times. This is my first experience with virtual voice and I can’t say that I would recommend it. Some of the word pronunciations are just off. Also, the cadenceof the way the sentences presented are off from time to time and it’s very distracting.

This story was pretty hard to follow.

The AI was tolerable but I think it made it very difficult to differentiate characters. The plot was lacking.

Fan

Not a fan of voice generated, The book was a different scenario but interesting. I like the canter between Baxter and Stone hope there be a love between them. For the sister missing well who knows what will happen. The red cloak will be a surprise or at least it was for me, I was looking in another direction of the person.

Cult Thriller with twists and turns

Killer Cult by Addison Moore is a gripping start to the Fallon Baxter FBI Mystery Series that will keep you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end! The story masterfully blends heart-pounding suspense with emotional depth as FBI Agent Fallon Baxter returns to her hometown, only to be thrown into a deadly investigation involving the Paradise Cult. The plot is fast-paced, filled with unexpected twists, and offers clean language, making it accessible to a broad audience. Fallon’s struggle to reconcile her painful past while unraveling a dark mystery adds a compelling layer to the book. The tension between Fallon and her colleague Stone keeps you hoping for more, and the red cloak twist truly caught me by surprise!

The only downside is the virtual voice narration. While the story itself deserves 5 stars, the AI-generated voice is monotone, and the lack of differentiation between characters made it difficult to follow at times. However, don’t let this deter you from diving into this thrilling read. If you’re a fan of mysteries with strong, relatable characters and jaw-dropping twists, Killer Cult is a must-read. I can’t wait to see where Addison Moore takes Fallon Baxter next!

Killer Cult

I hate that it was read in an AI voice. Couldn’t even finish first chapter.

Such a waste

The AI narration absolutely ruined what could have been a great story. No inflection, no change in pitch or anything to help you with which character is speaking. Complete failure.

AI narration sucks

I hated the AI narration. Wish I had realized before purchasing it. You couldn't tell when a sentence ended and another started. Couldn't tell who was saying what. Honestly don't know if I like the story due to the AI.
