Surviving Difficult, Troubling Times.
Many of God’s people rebelled when their king, who was King David’s grandson, treated them too harshly. The kingdom divided: north became “Israel,” and south became “Judah.” God’s prophets warned them to worship the LORD, keep His Laws, and help others in need. Otherwise, foreign invaders would capture them, exile them, and destroy Jerusalem.
Glops watched as the prophecies came true. They wondered how and when God would save the exiles and restore the Holy Land.
Prophets spoke of the future Jerusalem, hope for all God’s people, and the coming Messiah.
The Story of Glops Series
Fictional, chameleon-like glops help the listener stay engaged by voicing the concerns and feelings that are invoked by true Bible stories. They elaborate on important historical facts and traditions. Chief messages throughout the series are that our Father God wants us to know and love Him, He always keeps His promises, He always answers our prayers, and His plans are infinitely better than our own.

An amazing book-journey through Bible tales!
This story takes readers through the Land of the Israelite people and God’s kingdom as it is divided and the people exiled. The prophet Elijah lives the story as we see him guided by God. There are many foes along the way, King Ahab, his wicked queen, Jezebel, and many others. This audiobook is filled with the lessons of the Bible, and it is brought to life by the sounds and characters who lived the tale, as told by author Betty M Reeves. This book is so well written. The narration of the Glops is woven seamlessly into the story as a supportive role. The sound effects in the background add depth and quality to the listening experience, from the sound of a worm crunching away at the vine that sheltered the prophet Jonah from the sun, to the sound of bands of sheep, this book is beautifully constructed and rendered. I recommend this book and the entire series to all who enjoy learning about the Bible!
