Papst Franziskus
Zum ersten Mal erzählt Papst Franziskus die Geschichte seines Lebens anhand der Ereignisse, die die Menschheit in den letzten achtzig Jahren geprägt haben.
Und er teilt mit uns die Ursprünge seiner Ideen, die sein Pontifikat auszeichnen und die viele als gewagt ansehen: seine Appelle gegen Armut und Umweltzerstörung, seine Ermahnungen führender Politiker, in Fragen der Völkerverständigung, der Ungleichheit und der Rüstungspolitik einen Kurswechsel einzuschlagen.
Vom Ausbruch des Zweiten Weltkrieges 1939, als der zukünftige Papst knapp drei Jahre alt war, bis zum heutigen Tag nimmt Jorge Mario Bergoglio uns an die Hand und führt uns anhand seiner Erinnerungen durch die wichtigsten historischen Ereignisse unserer Zeit. Die Stimme des Papstes wechselt sich ab mit der eines Erzählers, der Momente aus dem Alltag des zukünftigen Papstes schildert und in den jeweiligen historischen Kontext einbettet.
Mit den Worten des Papstes: "LEBEN möchte Hoffnung schenken, damit die Menschen, vor allem die jüngeren, die Stimme eines älteren Menschen hören und darüber nachdenken können, was unser Planet durchgemacht hat, um die Fehler der Vergangenheit nicht zu wiederholen.
Wenn wir ein gewisses Alter erreicht haben, ist es wichtig, das Buch der Erinnerungen von Zeit zu Zeit wieder aufzuschlagen: um uns an die schlechten Dinge zu erinnern, an die toxischen, die wir erlebt haben, an die Sünden, die wir begangen haben, aber auch an all das Gute, das Gott uns geschenkt hat. Das ist eine Übung, der wir uns alle widmen sollten, bevor es zu spät ist!"
