About this listen

The victim has been meticulously mutilated. Left hauntingly arranged in the city's dark alleys. She is the first of her kind. But she won't be the last.

The serial killer thriller that will grip you until the very last sentence.

Fresh-faced homicide detective Tracy Sterling has been thrown into the deep end. She's navigating the city's darkest corners to unmask a killer whose methods are as chilling as they are cryptic. A grotesque spectacle was discovered in an alley by a nightclub. Another chilling scene lay within the shadows of an alley next to a public library.

Who could commit such monstrous acts? And what is the sinister pattern hiding within their horrific handiwork? Tracy must grapple with a shocking lack of evidence, while potential witnesses seem to shroud the truth in fear and lies. And all the while, the nameless killer observes the investigation from the shadows, delighting in the terror he sows.

The case seems unsolvable. But failure is not an option. For if she cannot solve the puzzle, the dance of death will continue unabated, and the killer will strike again and again.

But Tracy isn't just determined, she's obsessive. And she won't stop until she's put every puzzle piece in place, exposing the killer, along with other shocking surprises that will shake the city to its core.

"Lies and Bones" is an adrenaline-fueled mystery thriller brimming with nail-biting suspense. Fans of John Sandford, Jeffery Deaver, Karin Slaughter, Lisa Gardner, David Baldacci, Michael Connelly, James Patterson, Tess Gerritsen, and Patricia Cornwell should get to know Detective Tracy Sterling.

This was a great story. I am not a fan of this virtual voice. It’s a soothing voice to put you to sleep. I’m glad I stuck it through to the surprise ending

Great story

I couldn’t like the main character Tracy as she has a huge chip on her shoulder and is extremely self centered. The plot was okay. Overall meh.

Good twist at the end

Story was am maturely written. Too many poorly placed discriptive notes. “The dirt speckled her face like cinnamon. “. Some would have been ok but there were so many it clouded the story.

The narration did not fit the emotion and inflection of the story.

Compelling story, good twist at the end. Story kept up a good pace and allowed for genuine interest in the main character.

Solid listen

I did not like the virtual narration. Mispronounced words and not enough emotion or voice inflection. The story was pretty slow and I got very tired of the male characters constantly belittling and being dismissive of the the main character Tracy.

The virtual narration was pretty disappointing.

I probably would have liked the book if they had a real person doing it but AI was absolutely horrible in this book. it made it very hard to follow because there was no differentiation between the characters because of the voice.

AI is awful

I definitely do not like the AI narration. The plot was OK, but nothing to get excited over.

SO-SO

i spent the entire book annoyed at the way the female detective was treated and the voice narrating the story. Tracie was constantly put down the males in the PD. Yes, I know its happens but their reasonings were a stretch. The end also made little sense. The cadence of the AI voice wasnt bad but it was British and the story was based in the U.S.

so many things wrong

Or better would, a good listen. if you want a good who done it that's not super gory.

A good read

This story was especially interesting because the plot was unusual. I really liked the main characters because they are different than the usual police and outlaws. I will watch for
more by this author.
