About this listen
It is said that of all things, hope is the last to die. After thousands of years and numerous attempts by humanity to alter its unwavering tendency towards civilizational suicide, even the hope that springs eternal was beginning to fade.
Following seventy thousand years of undisturbed slumber, the vessel of a planetary empire that had followed its own predetermined path to destruction eons earlier had finally reawakened, bringing with her the potential to change everything.
Embodying all that was benevolent and beautiful from innumerable long-forgotten cultures, this lifeform in suspended animation also possessed the power necessary to prevent her gifts from being corrupted by those who will eternally thirst for dominion over others. As she embarks upon a solemn journey in search of those hidden gems of humanity worth saving, in a world that may not deserve to be saved, the only question remaining is, Will she find them, and will they be enough to persuade her to reveal the secrets that could literally change the trajectory of humankind?

Neve records everything for history, and in the hopes of locating a clue as to where the dragons came from and how one might stop them.

Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

For some it’s an opportunity. For others it’s a moment to question their faith: In God, in science, in everything. Still others try to keep the world running in the face of absurdity and uncertainty. And then there are the billions looking to the sky and wondering how a thing that was always just there is now... something absolutely impossible.

Benevolence Has a Name, and it is LISA
This story requires a dedicated listener/reader. It is deep, touching, intellectually challenging, and thoroughly entertaining. The imagery of the scenes came vividly to life in my mind, and I was transported into a world that was both strange and familiar. The blend of historically accurate details with a (supposedly) fictitious narrative took the story to an entirely different level for me as I followed LISA's incredible journey. Her inevitable confrontation with MALIS had me on the edge of my seat and managed to surprise me on an entirely unexpected plane. This story is well-constructed, but it is filled with little moments that, if breezed past, could leave a novice reader perplexed. Maya Murphy did a phenomenal job of narrating this intriguing piece, and the sheer number of accents and characters she portrayed was mind-boggling. With surprisingly few vocal trip-ups for such a long story, she has certainly earned a huge tip of the hat. The combination of the story and the presentation makes this absolutely unique story beautiful, mysterious, exciting, and thought-provoking. At the end of this 13-hour listening odyssey, I actually found myself wishing it could have been a little longer—I just didn't want it to end. Excellent all around and highly recommended for readers who are capable of deep thought and contemplation. For those with limited attention spans who get lost easily in a deeply detailed story, this one may not be for you. However, that is your loss!

A Journey Worth Every Moment
This was such a fantastic listen—one of those stories that pulls you in and takes you on a wild ride where the journey itself is just as fun as the destination. There were so many great characters to get to know, and I found myself rooting for them all. I have to admit, I didn’t figure out who MALIS was right away, but when I did—mind blown! That was such a cool moment. The narration was spot-on and made the story even better. A total five-star experience from start to finish!

The story has great potential but it was easy to get lost
I think the book has a great and interesting concept but it was difficult to follow despite feeling repetitive at times. It kind of felt like I was listening to a textbook. The narrator was great. I think this book is difficult to execute audibly, and would benefit from visual components (maybe an accompanying PDF or something) so that it is easier to follow the story. I fell off halfway through the book, but still finished it. I think this book would make a beautiful video game.

Very interesting story line
If you have never read Riano's books I highly recommend them. Riano is so diverse in his characters and story of every book he writes. Some are just downright fun. Some are heartwarming. Some are exciting adventures. Some are all the above. From dogs to dragons. From opening boxes to living underwater.
Lisa is heartwarming as we follow her throughout the world during her travels. She changes lives with her very presence. She also meets a character we are introduced to in another book and their lives intertwine as they move toward their destiny. The narrator Maya Murphy tells the story very well with many different accents and character voices. 5 Stars in all categories from me. Great job Riano as I have said before you never cease to amaze me with your storytelling.

Wow! Makes you wonder what might be going on in th
Enjoyed the reader’s voice changes for different characters but found her narrator voice blah at times. There were some odd gaps in the recording that should have been edited out. At times I didn’t realize that they were changing storylines, as there was no pause or note saying that they were changing whose perspective of the story was being told.
The storyline is very detailed with lots of different character perspectives being given, which adds depth to the storyline. Would love to see what happens to LISA next.

Great story but a little hard to follow
Riano D.McFarland wrote a great book. Maya Murphy did a good job on the narration but some times her voice was like She wasn’t into the story. It was a challenging book to follow sometimes and there was a lot of information they had to keep up with. it would probably make a good video game. It was interesting and entertaining. Someone who likes video games or anime would love this book.
