Guidati dal Vecchio Maggiore, un maiale saggio e anziano (rappresenta Lenin), riusciranno a conquistare la fattoria e a creare una società dove tutti sono uguali. Ma dopo pochi giorni il Vecchio Maggiore morirà e sarà sostituito da un altro maiale, l’opportunista e despota Napoleon (rappresenta Stalin), che prenderà il sopravvento su Palla di Neve, un maiale rivoluzionario e sincero (Trockij).
