This book reached out and grabbed me on the opening . From there it was pretty much all I could do to not take our trip specifically so I can listen to this audiobook.

This book is amazing, I look forward to the next.

I thought at the start that this mage telling a reporter the story of what happened during a world changing event wouldn't go anywhere. The mage was a bit too omnipotent and I thought it would simply get boring fast. I was happy to learn I was wrong. Sometimes I saw something coming but often I was quite surprised at the turn of events. This was a very enjoyable book. I don't think it rates 5 stars but the author and narrator really earned 4 solid stars.

Surely different but enjoyable. No Spoilers.
