Soon they are moving in exclusive circles, dining at the glitziest restaurants, attending the most outrageous parties in town and jetting off to the trendiest hotspots in LA.

But Julian's new-found fame means that Brooke must face the savage attentions of the ruthless paparazzi. And when a scandalous picture hits the front pages, Brooke's world is turned upside down. The narrator really brought this book to life, but I am not sure I'd have enjoyed this as much otherwise. Although I found Julian's behaviour annoying, I didn't really feel that invested in Brooke's wellbeing as I found her a little 1-dimensional and bland. I kept going because of the secondary characters and the narration and it did get better as the story went on and I absolutely loved the ending so all in all a good read.

Great performance

The plot was easy to listen chick-lit, perhaps a bit unpredictable ending the "best friend" was sometimes even more interesting character than Brooke, but I just loved the narrator. She put so much life into the text, good job!
