Powerful Tools
This book is a great tool to start moving on from a tough relationship. Leslie and Kim Gowans have such a compassionate way of explaining the steps to heal and truly find yourself again. I felt seen and supported
The guidance on self-love and reclaiming self-worth was interesting for me. So true that we tend to repeat things that we are comfortable with or that we have grown up with whether they are good for us or not. This book helps you break the cycle of toxicity in your life. Great book, feeling better about life
I was in a super toxic relationship for years and I didn't even know for a while. Once I came to the realization that this is not normal loving behavior I got out but all the verbal abuse and yelling still stuck with me. I needed some help and found this audiobook. I am loving the book, the author is talking directly to me and I appreciate that. The information is easy to follow and understand. I appreciate all the hard work put into this book.

practical tips to start new
I both feel more hopeful and empowered after having listened to this audiobook. The author addressed healing from toxic relationships with compassion; his strategies, for the most part, are practical and achievable to me. While some of the concepts were not new to me, at all, his presentation made them fresh and so much more relevant to my personal experiences. Overall, I am much more confident in setting boundaries and working towards healthier relationships. I think the PDF accompanying this book makes a great quick reference. I can literally look back on past experiences in a different light and am excited to try some strategies thus far learned to continue my healing journey.
