About this listen

When a deadly drug floods the streets of Staten Island, one of Felix’s patients falls victim. The only woman with the skills to design a drug like that had sworn she’d given up the life. Felix needs know for sure.

The trail to find her runs through a New York where taverns vanish, shoe salesmen ignore what you want and give you what you need, nightclubs take only bullion and refrigerator doors open into other worlds.

Story started off very interesting and then rapidly began to decline into an unrecognizable mishmash of nightmarish scenarios. Thankfully it was only a short story and didn't have to endure hundreds of pages, although that may have made it make sense. Maybe if I read more of Felix Hoenniker medical murder mysteries, this one would have made more sense to me.
I received this book for free for an honest review.

I loved how it started it was very intriguing, but then it just went haywire. I could not make heads or tails of what I was listening to, and the plot just got lost. The characters were just there but not developed. I truly have no words for how it ended just flat.I personally would never listen to another medical mystery like this. I received this book upon my request, and I am sorry I did. This is my honest, unbiased review that I am voluntarily leaving here of my own free will.

It started out very intense, half way thru, got kinda slow. But overall it was a good listen.
