About this listen

From a New York Times and USA Today best-selling author comes a new kind of textbook....

After the success of the first edition of Learn by Reading, we decided to bring you the second volume. This book uses the second volume in the Mind Dimensions series as the underlying text.

If you haven't listened to volume one, we recommend you start there. Though you could still get the educational benefits by starting from this volume, you will be missing critical information required for enjoyment of the story - and in our opinion, enjoyment is critical to the learning process.

Please note: This audiobook is in German.

I am really enjoying this, and my German is improving. I am starting on my third time

What made the experience of listening to Learn German by Reading an Urban Fantasy Novel Edition: Volume 2 [German Edition] the most enjoyable?

The story itself (not necessarily the writing of it or the reading, but the idea) was very interesting. I definitely did not expect the ending, which was a real plus.

Did Roberto Scarlato and Marcus Micksch do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

The characters were differentiated well and it was fairly clear which voice was supposed to be speaking. However, the English speaking person voiced the main character sounding almost lazy or disinterested. It reminded me of the narration from the original Blade Runner. It didn't seem to fit the character here.

Fun story but the delivery is only ok

Will be listening to this over and over, both volumes one and two. I would love if there would be a volume 3 somehow.

This story, if a movie, would have an R-Rating and so would not be how you want to teach german to a child.

The language level is pretty advanced for a so-called beginner book, but is a great format, just needing more repetition if you really are a beginner.

One mild point of criticism for the narration, however, is that more people chiming in with voices, such as a genuine female voice for Mira, would have been better for immersion.

LOVED IT

Quite a mind boggling scenario with splitting and out of body dialogue. Yet with the lack of Deutsch Audiobooks available i feel satisfied with the language learning aspect.
