The narrative was at times disconnected and odd to follow. Then I realized it is an abridged version…what?!!!
It is already difficult to choose to spend a whole monthly credit on a book in French, because they tend to be much shorter than an English-language novel, so for his one to have been abridged on purpose seems like a double heresy for an audiobook fan.
There were also many erroneous assumptions made about life in the US, notably about Americans abroad, and, this is personal, I’ll admit, about the state of Iowa. Cher Monsieur Labro, prenez la peine de vous rendre sur place la prochaine fois, je vous prie.
