True peace with God is attainable, but the solution is completely not intuitive.

The solution to finding true peace with God is the death of self. Even as Paul writes in I Cor 15:32,”I die daily”. All of your woundedness and the offenses give way by this one simple thing, as Christ says, whoever would follow me, let him take up his cross follow me. We must die to ourselves, in order to truly live.

every mature Christian should read

Francois was clearly a prophet. This is a deep dive into giving up self. Take your self love to the Cross and inherit the kingdom.

Deep Things of God Revealed

I believe this book reveals a lot about how we are to walk as Christians. We are so caught up in ourselves that we seek to have God cater to us when that is the sure path to death.
Fenelon reveals the true path which is revealed in God's Word. We are to die to self and all that entails in order that we may walk in the light and in love as Christ did. In this we draw closer to God.
This book is a must for anyone seeking a deeper relationship with God and spiritual growth.

How To Hate Yourself Without Even Trying

This is St. John of the Cross lite, a book that negates the self beyond simple self-doubt and in fact insists upon such negation as the only way to become worthy of a visit from God. It is therefore, like St. John, both terrifying and true.
