About this listen

Filled with drugs, prostitution, and crime, this mystery explores the unglamorous life of a street cop in the rough-and-tumble 51 Division. Jack Warren, a young officer who enters the dangerous downtown streets after working in a virtually crime-free area, is immediately thrown into a brutal war against a crack-cocaine dealer intent on taking over the city’s drug trade. Jack soon discovers that no one is safe from the dealer’s quest for domination when the war turns horrifically personal. Working with the division’s elite major-crime unit, Jack learns there is an imperceptible yet enormous difference between the law and justiceand being a police officer and surviving in the 51.

Where does Lethal Rage rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This was the first audiobook I had ever listened to and now it is my preferred manner of "reading." I have since listened to Savage Rage and I would rank them both equally excellent.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Absolutely! Throughout the book, I was anxiously waiting to find out what would happen next to each character, even the despicable ones.

Which character – as performed by Ray Chase – was your favorite?

Sy was my favorite with Manny a close second.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, but at the same time, it was a book that I didn't want to end.

Any additional comments?

Being that this was my first experience with an audiobook, I didn't know what to expect. I was extremely pleased to find that the pace of the narration was perfect for following the plot and I also liked the fact that the characters were easily distinguishable, just by their voices. I have since ordered two more audiobooks.
