About this listen

In Morant's "Letters to My Son, Rōman," an authentic real-time journal, the author of the #1 release, "The Happy Has Been," shares his personal love letters to his son, Rōman, begun while still occupying Mom's belly. It was later, before Rōman's second year, that he was diagnosed with "severe autism," non-verbal in nature. These very personal and heartfelt letters take us into the heart and mind of a dad who, regardless of the challenges that come with a brand new type of parenting experience, begins to understand, as he watches the years unfold, that in many ways, even without words, his very special boy communicates the one most powerful trait we all long for: unadulterated joy. Together, theirs is a journey into true love—on the spectrum.

Positive picture of a Father’s love!

This book filled my heart, as it depicts such a beautiful view of a Father’s love for his son, who happens to resonate on the beauty frequency we call the autism spectrum. The affection Jonathan shows to his children encourages healing and wholeness, and the hope that he instills in his son’s heart is unmatched. What a wonderful read!

BEAUTIFUL!!

As a huge supporter of Mookies writing, I thought I had a pretty good understanding of his purpose and heart after reading Letters to my Son, Roman: Love on the Spectrum. However, after listening to Mookie reading it, I realized there was an incredibly deeper energy to this than I had even imagined.
I am stunned & in awe of the love this father has for his son. There is no doubt, God puts the right people in the right situations and this is a beautiful example.
A diagnosis of non-verbal Autism for anyone/any parent would be crushing. Yet Mookie is able to stand on firm ground in his own strength found within this diagnosis, and also find JOY and TOGETHERNESS through it. Even with the distance in miles that definitely must make this harder.
To take it a step further, he is on his souls mission to be the VOICE for Roman and any and ALL families on the spectrum, by using his platform to ignite a fire through a foundation that will surely be a huge benefit to others on this path.
The intensity of love in his voice will literally give you chills and tug at your heart strings. The outcome of listening is what I can only describe as a dichotomy - excruciating-JOY, which doesn’t seem possible, until it is.
This little boy Roman has received energy in a narrative since before he was even born, that is; no matter his physical/verbal form, he IS pure LOVE, and I believe this is the only thing a child could truly ever need. There is no question in my mind that Rom, in his way, knows this truth & that makes my heart happy & will bring joy and happiness to anyone who reads & listens.
I am proud to call Mookie a friend and even more proud that Rom gets to call him ‘Da-yee’.
Thank Mookie for sharing your heart so that we can all find Hope in our own individual challenges. Through your love and Roman’s destiny, big things are happening.
My goodness, the best is yet to come for this family, and for countless others in the Autism community that will most definitely be touched by #RomansWorld.

Touching, captivating and emotional!

A very touching and captivating emotional story about the author’s son who is diagnosed with Autism. I loved reading about Mookie’s authentic, loving experiences with his son Roman. We need more men to love like this. Mookie’s passion for his son is pure, organic and everything beautiful. Great job! Looking forward to reading Part II…
