Can one reunite a family divided?

This was a wonderful family tale spanning many years and different characters, who are not very deep but nice to read about. It won't become a classic, but it was a beautiful story narrated in a pleasant and professional voice and kept me wonderful company for many hours - that flew, and not dragged, by.

I bought it in French to practice the language, seeing as the vocabulary is not extremely intrincate, and do not regret it one bit.
