Terribly pointless.

What would have made Life Lessons Learned from LinkedIn's "If I Were 22" better?

Content. Something worth listening to. These "gems of wisdom" included "be happy", "pursue your passions', "have fun", "seize the moment". Are you kidding me? Is this made for pre-schoolers or adults? The absolute lack of substance in these scrambled tips is very evident. And the amount of repetition is painful to listen to . It's almost no exaggeration to have heard sentences that went "by focusing on having fun, you'll have more fun... you're only 22, do you want to be the fun life of the party. Life is about fun and you should have more fun". While that's not a direct quote, it's not far off the mark. This audio is riddled with drawn out repetition of very surface level, feel-good advice that I'd read on a motivational poster ... but less interesting since at least the motivational poster might have a picture of a hanging cat.

What do you think your next listen will be?

A book. It was my mistake buying a compilation of ideas, thrown together based off of a gimmick promotion by someone who fancies themselves a curator. I'll return to listening to books with solid "big ideas" or actionable ideas and an organized arguement.

Would you be willing to try another one of John Eastman’s performances?

I wasn't pleased with the performance but the CONTENT is what kills the book (which created a bias against the delivery as well). I'll stick to buying from authors who create a book around 1 or 2 big ideas.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

It's under 2 hours. So at 3x (sadly there wasn't a 4X to get through this quicker), this book will cost you only 40 minutes of your life. Unless you put in 30 minutes at that pace and just give up on the final part in disappointment like I did.

Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
