About this listen

 It would be very easy to assume that a book titled “Life Through Stoned Eyes” would be centered around the marijuana-induced ruminations of a poetic pot-head. This, of course, would be a shallow assumption and one that not only misses the mark but completely shifts the mark. It would also signal a lack of appreciation for symbolism, allegory and the ingenuity of personification and metaphorical art. Immediately upon receiving “Life Through stoned eyes” for review and the honor of writing a forward for an author whose work impresses and motivates me, I began to seek out the metaphor in the title. What is it to be stoned? It is to be intoxicated and surely, we know the mind of man/woman can be stoned or intoxicated by LOVE, PAIN, HATE as well as HAPPINESS. These four sates of intoxication are elucidated thoroughly in this magnificent work of poetry that culminates with a suspenseful, apocalyptic thriller that leaves the reader hungry for the full-length version.
