Survival on a Lifeboat 5 STARS gem~excellent~

PLOT: passengers try to survive on a lifeboat after a German sub torpedo's their ship.

the ATLANTIC and World War 2 is occurring. a LIFEBOAT takes on a variety of survivors....the excellent Tallulah Bankhead is Connie the reporter who donates her MINK to a freezing woman.....Jeff Chandler is the working man who passes the time playing a millionaire for money....All the survivors have a story but as they slowly die from starvation and dehydration the Nazi they took on is in the best shape....why? This is a play on the human spirit and the morals of each come into focus on the lifeboat. EXCELLENT plot and keeps you glued to the entire performance. 5 STARS all the way and Alfred Hitchock who directed the movie version introduces the audio.

better than expected

Would you listen to Lifeboat again? Why?

yes... I love the original movie and enjoyed that some of the same stars narrated this short story.

What did you like best about this story?

the narrators and the commercials....I am a classic movie buff & loves old advertising spots.

Any additional comments?

for the price these are some great short stories, perfect for a short ride or trip.
it was a refreshing change from the regular audio books I listen to. if you are a classic movie buff this rocks, also I have parents that remember when these were on the radio and told me about them. it is almost a trip back in time when technology was young.
