About this listen
EVERWOOD FALLS a small supernatural community tucked up in the Colorado Rockies where witches, werewolves and vampires can live without fear of discovery, and those with curses they can't control are sent to keep the existence of magic from being revealed to Mundanes.
As a prince of the fae High Court, Asher Heath has always been caught between two worlds, the kingdom of faerie where his fire magic is unparalleled and the human realm where he works as a firefighter. But two months ago, he lost control of a blaze his fae magic was supposed to contain, with tragic results. With his magic poisoned by a demon curse, he can't risk getting close to anyone including Gwyn, the fierce and beautiful dragon shifter he encounters out in a thunderstorm in the woods. But trouble has followed Asher to Everwood Falls. An arsonist is setting fires around town using demon magic to possess their victims and their targets get bigger every time.
Gwyneth Drake doesn't need a prince to save her. She shifts into a twenty-foot fire-breathing dragon who can fight her own battles. A fierce advocate for the dragon community, she was forced into hiding when an ex tried to sear her dragon from the skies. Now dragon blood has been found at one of the arson sites and she and Asher will have to work together to stop the arsonist before they strike again. Someone from Gwyn's past may have followed her to Everwood Falls, and they're too close to the case for comfort.
With a herd of enchanted elk, carnivorous spruce trees, and sentient pumpkins that stalk the local landscaping, Everwood Falls is a quirky mountain town where scales and fur mean found family.
Everwood Falls has sweet paranormal romances with cozy mysteries and guaranteed HEAs. The series can be enjoyed in order or listened to as standalones, without needing to listen to the other books.

Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Two astronomers have detected a strange, pulsing signal from deep space. Within hours, the US government goes into lockdown, restricting airspace and scrubbing scientific data. A romance that even people who don't care for romances will enjoy
Solid plot outside of the romance aspect. A delightful little world, I want to see more of it. Good narration, lovable characters (who doesn't love mud-puddle sock killing dogs?) and twists that you can pick up on, but aren't obvious.

Light My Pyre!
This is the first in the "Everwood Falls" paranormal series. It is set in the small magical community of Everwood Falls where shifters, witches, werewolves, vampires and more can live freely. The story is about Asher and Gwyn. He is a Fae prince and firefighter. She is a dragon shifter. These two must team up to find an arsonist before another fire begins blazing. As the two work together passion and love pulls them further together.

Great start of a series introducing a new paranormal town full of endearing and interesting characters. Works as an amazing standalone, too, with a compelling twisty narrative full of magic and mystery. Can't wait for the next one!

Cute romance with great plot twists
I loved this story by Kat Kinney! The MMC Asher is a dreamy fae fireman who is a fire weilder. When he meets Gwen, a dragon on the run from an abusive ex, sparks fly. Their chemistry is great and the path to their HEA is deliciously twisty.
The town is populated by magical misfits and Mat Kinney does a great job Sith their character development. Makes me want to move there and be part of the gang! I especially love Asher's wolf bound sidekick, Daisy. The drama and intrigue in the book is well thought out, and I did not see the plot twists with the big baddie coming.
I recommend this to any paranormal romance fan. It is a fun read and suitable for the YA crowd, too. The audio narration was very good. Well done, Kat! Can't wait for the next one.

cozy
Light My Pyre by Kat Kinney is a cozy, captivating mix of fantasy, romance, and mystery that pulls you right into the charming supernatural haven of Everwood Falls. Asher, a fire-wielding fae prince, and Gwyn, a fierce dragon shifter, make for a dynamic duo as they team up to hunt down a demon-magic-fueled arsonist. The audiobook brings these colorful characters to life against a backdrop of magical elk, mischievous pumpkins, and a tight-knit supernatural community tucked in the Colorado Rockies. If you’re looking for an audiobook that's equal parts heartwarming, humorous, and suspenseful, this is one to add to your playlist!

Asher and Gwyneth
Prince of the fae High Court, Asher Heath and dragon shifter Gwyneth Drake and his wolfhound Daisy along with their friends, Gran, and family. I want to know what is happening to Lucien. There is drama, suspense, danger, a villain that is closer than they realize and romance. I enjoyed listening to Monica Franklin narrate this story.

Injured dragon finds happiness
Wow the plot has many events but it’s not till the end that you realize each is a tiny piece of the puzzle. There’s so much going on that it’s hard to quit listening, from fires, memory loss, strange behavior and curses to love, loyalty and forgiveness. Great entertainment!

Second chances
I really liked this story. This is the first book in the series and a standalone story. The characters are well written, and I could easily visualize them as they came to life. Gwyneth is a dragon shifter on the run from her ex-fiancé and Asher is fae fire fighter. Both have hidden pasts that are coming back to haunt them. As they fight an arson bent on destroying Asher feelings grow.
