About this listen
It wasn't long before Amy, now Lita, joined Matt and Jeff in WWE, and the three friends became international sensations as Team Extreme. Lita proved to be a true pioneer in women's wrestling, daring to get in the ring with the boys and never backing down. She's competed with Triple H, Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock. It took a broken neck, suffered on the set of a television series, to stop her...but only temporarily. Lita: A Less Traveled R.O.A.D-The Reality of Amy Dumas is the stirring tale of one young woman's amazing journey to the top of the wild, wonderful world of WWE.

Story
For decades, wrestling was shrouded in secrecy. It had larger-than-life personalities, bone-crunching physicality and jaw-dropping theatrics, but backstage, it was an industry devoid of outsiders. Then in 1999, after working together on a special for MTV, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson turned to 26-year-old television writer Brian Gewirtz and asked, “You ever consider writing for WWE?” That question, and its answer, would have a profound effect on both of their lives for years to come. There's Just One Problem is a story about perseverance, tenacity, and steel chairs.

Nitro is a story about much more than WCW and the Monday Night Wars. It is a story of an era, a time in which the media and cultural landscape precipitated - and later supported - pro wrestling's mainstream popularity. It is a story of how a company made in the image of an intuitively brilliant risk-taker betrayed its original promise. It is a story of how a handful of men, each struggling with their own limitations, facilitated a public obsession that changed television forever.

After three years of sobriety, Chris Farley's life was at its creative peak until a string of professional disappointments chased him back to drugs and alcohol. He fought hard against them, but it was a fight he would lose in December 1997. Farley's fans immediately drew parallels between his death and that of his idol, John Belushi. Without looking deeper, however, many failed to see that Farley was much more than just another Hollywood drug overdose. In this officially authorized oral history, Farley's friends and family remember his work and life.

The New York Times best-selling biography of an American comedy legend.

Story
The word conquer has changed meaning for Bryan Anderson. As a U.S. army sergeant in Iraq, it meant taking down the enemy. After becoming Iraq’s fourth triple amputee from a roadside explosive, what he had to conquer got a bit more personal. On October 23, 2005, the moment Bryan looked down and realized he no longer had legs, he cracked a joke. It was a tragedy that could break many, but Bryan transformed it into something positive, something that propelled him forward.

I was surprise to see that the audible was only two hours long where I’ve had wrestling autobiographies about 6-8 hours. I wish this was longer but great outcome when finish. I hope Amy writes again about her time outside of wrestling and her ADORE campaign. I would totally support it! 5/5 stars, totally suck on how she injured her neck, that really upset me.

old and outdated book. misses most of her career.
This book should be updated or be listed by the years it covers. It only covers part of her active career, before she breaks up with Matt Hardy. Some weird long pauses between characters. Extremely long intro music. I wouldn't recommend it.
