3-Minute Picture Book Audiobook Worth It?

While I absolutely adore audiobooks of all kinds for adults, when I first saw them, I questioned the need for audiobooks of children’s picture books. Something didn't sit quite right with me about it, perhaps because I believe that parents (or caregivers) should read their children, not have a faceless narrator do so. However, over the last few years, I have heard a few children's audiobooks worth purchasing, including a Christmas one because it had such charming, well-done elements: it fully acted with music and sound effects. In itself, it was worthwhile. This book lacks any dramatic bells and whistles, though the narrator is upbeat and friendly sounding. The audiobook version is only 3 minutes long and does not include a PDF of the picture book itself. I think that every children's picture book audiobook ought to come with a PDF of the book itself; Audible does allow publishers to include PDFs that can be downloaded from Audible for any audiobook it carries (so far as I know). The text rhymes, which I do enjoy hearing/reading in children's books. The text does encourage the child to take part in gardening activities along with the little red wagon and family. Because there's not much to it, I'm not sure if it's worth it as an audiobook, even if it does have a good message about helping with the garden and enjoying the garden's bounty. There's nothing inherently wrong with it other than there's not much to it, just 3 minutes of a narrated picture book without the ability to look at the illustrations.
