About this listen

Which president had feet bigger than his ego? Washington. Which barked like a seal? Kennedy. Which joked about dating mummies? Clinton. These fun and quirky facts bring to light the human side of the 42 men who have served as U.S. presidents. Author Kathleen Krull's thumbnail biographies have been called "deliciously gossipy" and are guaranteed to amuse and inform even those who believe they know the presidents well.©1998 by Kathleen Krull (P)1998 Audio Bookshelf; 1998 by Kathryn Hewitt; 16 9 Biographies Historical History North America Political Young Adult Young Adult Biography

I really liked most of this book it's just that it ended many years ago with Clinton so and it didn't even have the Monica Lewinsky scandal yet.

ended with Clinton

What did you like best about this story?

I enjoyed learning more about the person and the presidency and especially liked having a review of what order they served in and what were the key points of each era.

Where does Lives of the Presidents rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is probably one of the middle books. I love history and this absolutely covers it, but not the serious side of it. It was a nice break away from some of the more heavy books I have read.

What other book might you compare Lives of the Presidents to and why?

I think the books by Vowel might be good because of the way she mixes in humor and the real story about history and what happened.
