Story was well crafted.

only negative was the narrator. She does well except for her aversion to the "a" vowel. hat becomes "hot," "that" becomes "thot." Most annoying is her pronunciation of "family" as "fomily." She mispronounces in this way for certain female characters in other books also. She seems to distinguish certain female characters from others by this odd pronunciation. I find this unpleasantly grating to endure.

This is a gripping story!

A little boy is found hiding in a cupboard after his mother is killed. Texas Ranger Taylor has to protect him and his aunt from the killer. There are a number of twists and turns that lead to a conclusion. But the real twist is how two damaged people find their way to each other.
