Publisher's summary

In the long awaited sequel to Take Me by New York Times and USA Today best-selling author, Bella Andre, if there's one thing that Janica Ellis is absolutely certain of, it's that she and Luke Carson are totally wrong for each other. She's a wild, artistic, and outspoken fashion designer. He's a type-A, workaholic trauma surgeon. But Janica is about to be proven wrong when opposites attract...in the sexiest possible way.

After a life-changing night in the ER, Luke is desperate for escape and relief from his personal demons. For five years he has fought his attraction to Janica, but when he's pushed too far, he can't fight it another second. He needs her. Desperately. He's spent his whole life doing the right thing. For one night, he's going to follow desire instead, straight into Janica's arms.

Janica can't believe Luke is finally at her front door...and that he's kissing her as though he's been waiting his whole life to touch her. But even as their sensual connection deepens with every touch of skin on skin and the man she always thought was such a good boy turns out to be sinfully, toe-curlingly bad between the sheets Janica soon realizes she wants more than Luke's body. She wants his heart too. But what will Luke do when one night of extreme passion turns into an all-or-nothing proposition?

SORRY, JUST NEVER GOT OFF THE GROUND FOR ME

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

NOPE. This book, unfortunately, just didn't do much for me. Don't get me wrong I'm all for, occasionally, an easy listening romance but there just wasn't any substance to this one. Too easy, too uncomplicated, and missing all the drama, angst, romantic sex, etc. that B.A. usually has in her books.

I waited for this one and was really disappointed. It was quite boring. The only thing that made it any good at all is E.S.'s narration. She's great and I have never been disappointed in her performances.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

More drama, more sexual escapades (tasteful of course).

Have you listened to any of Eva Kaminsky’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

She's always great.

What would have made this romance irresistible?

Not sure. It started and ended and everything in between was just plain flat.

Any additional comments?

Always looking for new "stuff" from Ms. Andre and hope that the next one doesn't disappoint.

Not sure

This is a romantic erotic love story.

Janica has always wanted Luke but knew there was a difference in wanting and needing and she doesn't need his type, they are completely opposite. Until one night Luke came over and changed everything.

Luke hit a breaking point in his life and all he needed was the one person he could not get out of his head, Janica. When he shows up everything he thought about life changed when he realizes what he is missing, her.

This is a good book, but I could not connect with the characters at all, sorry.

A real disappointment

I just couldn’t buy Dr. Luke Carson changing from a near saint for most of his life to horrible person with major psychiatric problems, basically over night. He was so bad and unlikeable for most of the book, that an attempt to rehabilitate the character in the latter part of the book came to late. By that time I had been hoping for an end of the book for some time. Janica was a sympathetic character. Eva Kaminski did another terrific job; she is the best. I would not recommend this book. The characters had some potential but the story didn’t live up. The first part of the book seemed to use a story as a vehicle to put in more gratuitous sex scenes. If the story and characters had been developed more early on then the ending may have worked. Bella Andre is an excellent writer but this isn’t her best work.
