About this listen

A man who has found his soulmate... A woman determined to forget him...

I knew the moment I laid eyes on Selina Grymes she was the girl I was going to marry. We made plans to grow old together, have children, and live the rest of our lives here in Tyson's Creek. But once we graduated high school, she left town and never returned, taking my heart with her.

Selina disappeared for fifteen long years without a word, before suddenly reappearing in town and turning my entire world upside down. I know I should keep my distance and protect my heart from being broken a second time, but all I can think about is making her mine again.

But Selina doesn't plan on staying here longer than it takes for her injury to heal and then she'll disappear again. I'll stop at nothing to prove to her that we belong together, even if it means giving up everything I've built to be with her.

For mature listeners.

Patience is a virtue

What an entertaining book. I gotta tell you I was Team Vance because Selina got on my last good nerve. Selfish and immature. But It’s a good read.

Struggled to finish listening

This book series drew me in with book 1 so I naturally got the next book in the line up thinking it would be good without listening to the sample. The performances by both voices grate on my last nerve. I was about to not even continue after the first chapter but I wasted a credit on it so let get through it. I'm not even finished yet and I had to write this review. The story line is valid but it really is so annoying that the women lead is acting like she didn't up and leave that man and started doing ignoring him when he was reaching out and NEVER established what they were. Since she never wanted to talk to him or come home how was he supposed to establish what they were to one another. Then for her to come back in the first time in 2 years and assume something and treat that man as an invalid as if he didn't lose a best friend also is nefarious, and to say his love was bullshit sent me into a tail spin ! She was dramatic and immature and Vance deserved better in my opinion. Then knowing that one of her best friends lost his wife and needed some support with his daughter she disappeared...bruh the way she would have been cut tf off ! How you do some selfish immature crap like that as if you're the only one with feelings and have the nerve to act like you were wronged ! Wish me luck I can finish this book. Idk if imma listen to book 3 if it's anything like this.
