I enjoy book
Wonderful listen will keep you entertained and in a little fairytale of your own while you rest, do laundry or sit outside and enjoy the forest like the main character

A double memoir?
Seems to be a lot of true stories like my parents sometimes tell me. Some of the stories touch on famous events. Many are personal. Very entertaining.

Better than daytime TV
I saw mixed reviews for this book, so maybe it's not for everybody. I really liked it. Some repetition could have been edited better. The readers did a great job giving us multiple characters.

Great listen!
Surprisingly little loving by the lake, but there’s enough all things considered. The characters are older and spend most of their time telling stories. If you’re older, like maybe 50+, and maybe American, you should get all the old references.

Simple stories
I listened to this audiobook over a week's time. It's not a thriller or who-done-it. It's simple enough for stop-and-go listening. There's a single story arc that re-states itself a bit too often, and lots of little stories within that kept me interested.

Some of this sounded like my life!
