About this listen

Every relationship has its ups and downs.

Zaria Taylor weathers the storms, accepting the bad times as temporary whenever Renard cheats. Deep down inside, Zaria prays the years invested into their relationship will be enough to keep their foundation sturdy. "Do or die" and "till death do us part" are her mottos, though her wedding ring finger is still bare. She makes the mistake of believing him every time he says he will do better, he is sorry, and his heart only belongs to her.

When his lies are exposed and it is revealed that Renard has been dragging Zaria's name through the mud while taking caring of another woman's child on the side, all bets are off and payback is on. Angry and bitter, Zaria makes it her mission to show her two-timing baby daddy exactly how it feels to get played. Between sleeping with his best friend, stirring up drama with his lineup of women, and trying to ruin his street business, Zaria is fueled by a shattered heart, and she won't stop until revenge is hers.

I loved this and found myself lol-ing and clutching my pearls one chapter after the next. The narration was outstanding and the unexpected ratchness here and there was hilarious. The seriousness was about who wanted true love who wanted to be the boss and who wanted revenge. I wish this was on TUBI or a BET movie.

Action Packed and LOL Throughout

I love how the narrator makes diff voices for all the characters, especially the Jamaican accent for Spice. Story was mediocre, very predictable. Good listen if you’re jogging and/or working out and have nothing better to do.

A1 Narrator

The story was definitely entertaining, I’m sure some women and men can relate. The performance was good!! I’m satisfied with her narration, thank god. Sometimes I just cant take the narrator’s voice. I’m from Detroit so the locations in the story I’m familiar with. Great job T.C.

Very Entertaining!!!

The reader let me captivated but the story was extreme. I cringed at some parts that I wished I had not heard and I certainly wasn’t ready for the cliffhanger.

Performance amazing

Overall, the story isn’t terrible. But, if you have even an ounce of maturity, you’ll quickly get tired of the childish ways the characters behave. Three women fighting over a man who’s not even close to worth it. The narrator was pretty good. I really liked her voice as Spice. I’d listen to other books read by her.

Full of juvenile foolishness

This book was a great read. The reader did a good job I was very impressed. I found myself knowing what was going to happen but wanting to confirm! Zaria was the predictable woman scorned or hurt or how about just plan angery, I did not expect her to go as far as she did, but sometimes anger leads you to a place you won’t like. Can’t wait to hear more!

Good story

In this story their are no favorites only a bunch of trifling fools. Every single one of them deserve karma. Zaria actions wasn’t due to Nardos treatment of her, she is just a mean spirited bitch who liked to play games and she was raised as a brat of the streets.
The only thing great about this story was the narrator.

This was one of the most ratchet books I heard in a long time. That's not to say I didn't enjoy it because I did. When I first started listening, I didn't think I'd be able to get through it but I did and enjoyed every RATCHET moment. I couldn't even muster up the slighted amount of sympathy for any of the characters except for the 2 children. When I tell you this was the most ratchet ignorant, belligerent and delusional cast of characters I've seen in a long time. Zariah. Melanie and Spice were a bunch of idiots. There is no way on God's green earth that I'd put up with 10% of the BS that Nardo kept taking all 3 of them through. But in all fairness, I have to say he did tell and show them on many occasions where all of them stood with him, but for some crazy reason they all chose not to HEAR his words or take them to heart. My grandfather used to say "Don't let a man tell you twice that he don't want you" and I have lived by that since I was a teenager. All in all I must say I enjoyed this book. The story was well written and the narrator did her thing bringing this one life. All the drama and crazy ratchetness had me laughing and shaking my head at the same time. I wish there was a part two available on Audible.
