About this listen

Atlanta is a city plagued by magical problems. Kate Daniels will fight to solve them - no matter the cost....

Mercenary Kate Daniels and her mate, Curran, the Beast Lord, are struggling to solve a heartbreaking crisis. Unable to control their beasts, many of the pack’s shape-shifting children fail to survive to adulthood. While there is a medicine that can help, the secret to its making is closely guarded by the European packs, and there’s little available in Atlanta.

Kate can’t bear to watch innocents suffer, but the solution she and Curran have found threatens to be even more painful. The European shape-shifters who once outmaneuvered the Beast Lord have asked him to arbitrate a dispute - and they’ll pay him in medicine. With the young people’s survival and the pack’s future at stake, Kate and Curran know they must accept the offer - but they have little doubt that they’re heading straight into a trap....

as some other reviewers, I find this installment necessary but is not my favorite. On so many levels... the death of an important member tragic but I can feel why it had to be this way... or at least I think I know why.

Sometimes the myths get a bit stretched but okay not all readers are familiar with them... I think this is why each time details are pouring out I cringe: I know them already - see where fantasy and variations are attached - and just want the plot to move.MOVE. forward 😁 Still, okay needed dragging out and on..

I also think this installment was necessary in order to make the story keep going full of life instead of sounding like a corpse being pushed around for the sake of it.
Well done indeed!

I can only recommend the whole series 😀 it is worth your time!

And now the next on the list... some coffee and I am ready to jump again into Kate's world 🌎

Not my fav but great
