I say surprisingly because the book is essentially a series of worst case scenarios for a performer, each with a strange and simple silver lining. At first the rapid pace and deadpan narration left me a little jangled. But by the end I was super sad to hear those final words when the book wrapped up. There was almost rhythm to the text how it always bounced back, it left me with many questions and the distinct feeling that sometimes all you can do is grin and bear it.

Great book and a quick listen, might throw it on again sometime!

Hilarious, and surprisingly uplifting

If you could have sounded any more disinterested, that would be impressive in and of itself…
On a positive note, you could get a job with NPR as a narrator! 😃
