About this listen

Silver River is a little town full of strong men who followed the trail west to Montana hoping to get rich from the Silver Rush that gave this picturesque valley its name. Many of them are lonely, but their pioneering spirit means they make their own luck. As the town begins to expand, its inhabitants are getting restless, looking for love and adventure.

Very well written short stories. The narrator did a spectacular job with all these characters. Each of the stories had interesting plots and wonderful characters. I would recommend this collection.

A wonderful set of four stories that centered around Silver River Montana. Can I just say I want to go? Alan Taylor did a superb job with the different characters and I truly enjoyed his voice. He made me believe I was there are made the people come alive. Karla Gracey has it down pat how to draw the reader in for hours of enjoyment!!!

The Best!

The worst thing and author can do is half characters from the 1800s possess the opinions of those in the 21st century. That is exactly what this author has done. I can usually let it go if it is just one minor thing, but throughout the book it happens over and over again. If this does not bother you then read this book it totally bothered me and I wish I could get my credit back. The only bright spot was Alan the narrator he is one of my favorite mail order bride now Raiders or western bride serious narrators I love him and think he has a perfect voice for this genre it is just a shame it was wasted on this book. Well that’s a little harsh this is just my opinion. You may love the book I did not.

A little far fetched!
