Nell hopes the way out of her peril and to resolve her current situation is by answering an advert for a bride placed by Edward Chance. But when she arrives to Great Falls in Montana, Edward is not the man she thought him to be and Edward sees that Nell has brought an unexpected package with her. Edward, whose birth name is 'Waya,' is dreading telling Nell the truth about himself, but he must end his deceit soon. Will Nell accept his true ethnicity and past? Can't mentally deal with this

I was too angry to finish this book.
Spoilers ahead.
I would rather be beaten to death rather than be forced to have sex, and then carry that child? Not I.
and so to have this young girl not fight when she had the chance to, to not run away when she wasn't restrained, to sit there and wait for her boss at her workstation to be raped filled me with such rage. I've read books with sensitive scenes before but, shit, never has the female prota- just accept such a dark fate.
No reasoning was enough. it wasn't an unfair fight, she just sat there and waited, knew what was about to happen and accepted it!
The narrator was seemingly nonchalant. Also, for this older woman to read the book was perhaps not the best call. It was odd to capture all of the inflections needed to make her sound like a 15-20 year old girl.
didn't finish.
book needs a sensitivity warning.
